Music
Sanctuary Choir

Music is an integral part of our weekly worship service. From September
through mid-June, the choir sings two anthems per service (one anthem
for first-Sunday Communion service) along with an introit and Amen/benediction.
Our choral library has over 900
works in a variety of styles, from classical through recent works.
During the mid-June through Labor Day choir recess, choral and instrumental
music is provided by soloists and small ensembles.
The sanctuary choir warmly welcomes
enthusiastic young-adult and adult singers of all levels so that
"with singing lips my mouth will praise You." (Psalm
63:5). And we will "Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all
the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!"
(Psalm 98:4)
Please contact our Director of Music Ministries, Cheryl Forest for more information, or just join
the choir rehearsal on Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Children's Choir is seasonal, and newcomers are always welcome.
Congregational hymn singing is primarily from the New
Century Hymnal. We also use hymns from the Pilgrim Hymnal and
other hymnals on ocassion.
Instruments
The church organ was dedicated in 1985 and is a 2-manual, full
pedal Allen ADC 5000 digital organ. The
organ also has a Roland
D-110 MIDI Synthesizer interface.
The Korg
O1/Wpro synthesizer provides wonderful accompaniment for special
anthems.
The sanctuary piano is a Yamaha baby grand which serves admirably
as the choir rehearsal tool and as primary accompaniment for choral
anthems.
Several of the members of the congregation are accomplished flautists
and we frequently have anthems for choir with piano and flute.
